be Challenging the status quo!
How do you expect a person to look after a full day of college classes and then
comes home to the duties of a wife, helpmate to a farmer, and mother of 4 kids in elementary school? And then concerns herself with the hours of study that need to put in before the next morning. About as weary as this one in the picture probably. Don't let the physical weariness fool you. The author attended Northwestern College for 4 years with the duties listed above, though the schedule was intense nothing else could have made as much of a difference in her life as the college experience. The formal education was interesting and good but the informal beat it all hollow. Being recognized as an individual in her own right and not as just the mother of kids or the wife of a husband was exhilarating. Her home were first priority but the transformation of the "self" in those 4 years was truly a God send. Little did she know that God needed her to take that step to prepare her for the challenges He would place before her in the years ahead. I've Always Been Rich captures that life changing experience, and many others, in more detail.
